Real Madrid are reportedly preparing to overhaul their squad in the summer.

This follows Xabi Alonso’s resignation as coach in January after just seven months at the helm.

Real Madrid, now managed by Alvaro Arbeloa, are four points behind LaLiga leaders and arch-rivals Barcelona.

Real Madrid plans squad overhaul

With a second straight season without a title becoming increasingly likely, a mass exodus is expected this summer.

According to Bild, Real Madrid are ready to let up to six players leave the Santiago Bernabeu by the end of the season.

Dani Carvajal, David Alaba and Antonio Rüdiger should be able to leave the club as their contracts expire in June.

Meanwhile, the club is ready to sell left-backs Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia, as well as midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.

Garcia, whose contract expires at the end of next season, has made just six LaLiga starts this season.

Meanwhile, Mendy’s time in the Spanish capital has been marred by injuries since his move from Lyon in 2019.
