This follows Xabi Alonso’s resignation as coach in January after just seven months at the helm.
Real Madrid, now managed by Alvaro Arbeloa, are four points behind LaLiga leaders and arch-rivals Barcelona.
Real Madrid plans squad overhaul
With a second straight season without a title becoming increasingly likely, a mass exodus is expected this summer.
According to Bild, Real Madrid are ready to let up to six players leave the Santiago Bernabeu by the end of the season.
Dani Carvajal, David Alaba and Antonio Rüdiger should be able to leave the club as their contracts expire in June.
Meanwhile, the club is ready to sell left-backs Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia, as well as midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.
Garcia, whose contract expires at the end of next season, has made just six LaLiga starts this season.
Meanwhile, Mendy’s time in the Spanish capital has been marred by injuries since his move from Lyon in 2019.
The 30-year-old, who is currently sidelined due to muscle problems, has already missed 25 games this season alone.
However, Camavinga’s contract runs for three more years in the summer.

Positive effect for Trent Alexander-Arnold?
However, Real Madrid’s plans to let Carvajal go will be a big boost for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The England international has been competing with the club’s captain for the starting right-back spot since his arrival in June.
Alexander-Arnold signed a six-year contract with Real Madrid after moving from Liverpool.
Despite a number of absences due to injury, he has made 24 appearances for the club in all competitions.
In contrast, Carvajal has only made 16 appearances so far this season.
His right-back rival has also been in impressive form since his last return from injury in February.

Carvajal returned to Real Madrid in 2013 after a season in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen.
The 34-year-old played 444 games for the club and won 26 trophies.
These titles include six Champions League triumphs and four individual victories in LaLiga.
