Real Madrid has agreed to pay a fee between € 5 million € 10 million (4.2 million £ 8.5 million) to make Xabi Alonso her next manager, according to a report.
Alonso has long been set up as Madrid’s dream successor to Carlo Ancelotti and it turned out on Friday that a deal was hit to bring the Spaniard to Santiago Bernabeu with a three-year contract.
Things then moved to one step forward when Alonso left his current role at Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the season, 12 months before his contract.
It was previously suspected that Madrid could be forced to pay up to € 20 million (€ 16.9 million) to buy Alonso from his contract, but but Picture Believe that the fee is no more than half of this number.
The exact details of the demands of Leverkusen are unclear, but the conversations between the two clubs have concentrated on a fee between € 5 million € 10 million.
