The English academy system houses only a few talents that are as exciting as the 17-year-old Manchester United striker Chido Obi.

The outstanding teenager shaken the gates at the youth level, but at the end of the 2023/24 season by Arsenal to bring his talent to United, where his blasedly record in front of the goal has only grown.

After his senior debut for Ruben Amorim’s team in the 1-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur, Obi’s career continues to go from strength to strength. Here is a closer look at the teenager, which threatens to conquer Old Trafford by storm.

Obi’s football trip was born in Denmark as the son of Nigerian parents and started a family vacation into the African nation when he was only six years old. The talent of the youngster was discovered by a locals who simply discussed with Obi’s father Prince to examine the formal training for him when they returned to Denmark. Obi appeared for a session with KB, which happily offered him the chance to strut up his things.

“He was quietly off the field, but loud in the field,” said coach Soren Nielsen Oldtrafford.dk. “He spoke to his feet. That was his language, there he felt comfortable.”

Obi’s parents decided to move the family to England, and an indication of Arsenals Youth Scouting Network was passed that a potential future star was looking for a new club in London. Obi fell attention after only 20 minutes in a friendly.

The regional scout Paul Aladejare remembered his conversation with the club in an interview with The athlete.

“You have to come here now and the mother of this child brands,” Aladejare said to those responsible in Arsenal. “There are scouts from every club in London who ask who he is and where he came from.”

Obi finally registered with Arsenal and wasted very little time to make himself known. At the age of 16 he became the record goal scorer from Gunners’ record scorer under the age of 18. He became viral on social media.

Obi was invoiced with 6’2 and stabs on the academy due to his advanced body building. It is simply too big, too strong and too powerful for youth level and has routinely older than him, which still grow to their frames.

However, Obi is much more than bullying with a flat track. While his physicality undoubtedly helps his cause, those who have observed the young striker notice an uncanny ability to find space and to put the ball in the back of the network.

“His greatest ability is to achieve many goals” Tip charging. “If you have seen some of the goals at the European Championship … he is a really good finisher and to position himself so that he can free this.

“He is also good in individual habits. He is good at getting deep into free positions. His finishing skills enable him to score so many goals. You can achieve the chance number two. Is above average, and that makes it possible him so interesting.

These torecoring exploits also excited Jack Wilshere, Obis U18 manager at Arsenal.

“Chido has always had a knack for finding the network, but what impresses me the most is his willingness to learn and develop,” said Wilshere about the Youngster.

As with players, whose advanced physicality helps them at the academy level, were asked how Obi will adapt as soon as he is no longer an anomaly against high -ranking specialists who can match their size and power.

While this will undoubtedly weaken an aspect of his game, there is considerable trust in the fact that Obi has built up a devastating capacity that will continue to increase it to new heights in the senior play.

“I always thought that he will be caught at some point,” continued Nielsen. “But he doesn’t do it. He was not caught in any year. He always scored goals.”

There were questions about OBI’s mentality during the games. Some who have observed him quote a temperament that can overflow when things don’t go in the way, although it has to be emphasized that this still mature for young players who still mature both in life and in football, is a common concern.

“Although he sometimes criticized some aspects of his game, his influence on the team was great,” Wilshere considered.

Aladejare also emphasized an “unconventional” ball strict technique, but came to the conclusion: “If it still ends up in the corner of the network, who cares?”

OBI is entitled to represent Denmark, Nigeria and England. He turned out for England’s U16 team in February 2023 shortly after his 15th birthday, but has devoted the vast majority of his youth football to Denmark, and it is unlikely that this attitude will change in the future.

“I was born in Denmark, I have better friends in Denmark and I’m just happy to play for Denmark,” said Obi to Clearly In March 2024.

“My dream is to win big things, I dreamed of winning the European Championship or the World Cup with Denmark for a long time, so that would be great.”

Obi interviewed directly whether he could return to England setup and concluded: “I hope that I can play for the Danish national team for a long time, so I hope that it is only Denmark.”
