Real Madrid striker Rodrygo has emphatically released transfer Speculation that combines him with a move to the Premier League with a powerful message: “Stop inventing things.”
Rodrygo’s space in the Madrid hierarchy hit a blow after Kylian Mbappe’s summer arrival. The Brazilian striker has received a comparable number of play options – he is only one game before the 51 appearances last season – but his status in the squad was unmistakably reduced.
As the Brazilian clearly noticed at the beginning of this season: “I just fill rooms. Is someone missing there? Set Rodrygo in it.”
Reports in Spain initially claimed that Rodrygo had accepted his future lies elsewhere, while some outlets even went so far that the striker “refused” for the rest of the season.
