According to The Pitch Prospect, Aston Villa are confident of signing Ross Barkley following Luton Town’s relegation from the Premier League.
Barkley signed for the Hatters as a free agent last summer after previous spells at Everton and Chelsea and a season-long loan at Villa.

The midfielder impressed greatly under Rob Edwards but his efforts were not enough to keep them in the Premier League.
Luton expect him to leave and is understood to be available for a minimal fee following relegation. Villa, who signed him on a temporary basis for the 2020/21 season, are very impressed with his services.
