Ross Barkley is looking to make a fresh start in the Premier League after signing a contract with Aston Villa, The Pitch Prospect has learned.
Villa have agreed a £5 million deal to sign the midfielder from Luton, with the transfer expected to go through shortly.

Barkley joined Luton on a two-year deal last summer following the club’s promotion to the Premier League in a bid to rejuvenate his career.
After a solid start, Barkley made 37 appearances for the Hatters, scoring five goals and providing six assists.
These included goals against arsenalNewcastle-under-Lyme, Chelsea and Man City with performances that showed exactly what he is capable of in the top flight.
Despite his impressive performances, Barkley’s efforts were not enough to keep Luton in the Premier League as the team prepares to return to the EFL.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa is preparing for the Champions League.
Barkley has already played for Villa in his career and joined Chelsea on loan in the 2020/21 season.
This season he scored three goals in 24 appearances.
Moves to Chelsea from Everton In January 2018, Barkley played just 100 games for the Blues before leaving the club by mutual consent in the summer of 2022.
