Ruben Amorim clashes with Wayne Rooney over ‘naive’ Premier League title ambition


Ruben Amorim has refused to return his ambition to bring a title of the Premier League for Manchester United after being described as “naive” by the club -like Wayne Rooney.

United, who has 14th place in the current Premier League rating, was unloaded from the FA Cup on Sunday against Fulham, according to which an optimistic amorim was that his long-term focus was still on building a squad that can win the title of the league.

“No, that’s the goal,” emphasized Amorim. “To be naive means to believe that we will go [win the title] This season or we will be the best candidate for the next season.

“I know that everyone knows everything at this moment. I know it is really easy. I was an expert when I finished my career. I know it’s really easy.

“Our goal is to win the Premier League. Perhaps it is not for me, but our goal as a club, the board, is to win the Premier League, as we have done in the past with all the great fame and legends of this club.

“We want to do it better and we know that we are in a difficult moment. I’m not naive. That’s why I train Manchester United at the age of 40.”
