The head coach of Manchester United, Ruben Amorim, described the violation of Lisandro Martinez as a “serious situation” after the Argentine central defender was defended against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The Red Devils had already fallen back in Jean-Philippe Matetas, when Martinez was crumpled in a bunch. The defender with the front had been involved with Ismaila Sarr and his knee seemed to strap under his own weight.
There was a considerable delay, while Martinez was examined by the Medical Department of United before being carried on a stretcher with tears over his cheeks.
“We will see in the next few days, but I think it’s a serious situation,” said Amorim Sky Sport Immediately after the 2-0 defeat. “He is not only a great player, but also a strong character in the changing room. He felt it and when you are a player, you know when it is something serious. We are here to help him at this difficult moment, how he helped us.
Amorim accused Martinez’s distance for the slow conclusion of his team. After the forced departure of the central defender, Leny Yoro was moved to the left side of United’s Back Three. This confused Rejig may have contributed to the chronic misunderstandings where Harry Maguire Daniel Munoz played on the side. The raging Palace wing-back had the space for the square to double Mateta in the 89th minute the advantage of visitors.
“The result is really bad,” admitted Amorim. “The performance was a bit better than the last games. We checked the transitions for Crystal Palace quite well. We suffered two goals that we can avoid, and the injury to Lisandro Martinez was hard for the team.”
United went back to 13th place in a non -flattering Premier League table.
