The head coach of Manchester United, Ruben Amorim, has decided to hand over his first senior appearance at the Premier League meeting on Sunday with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
After the dramatic comeback win of United against Lyon, Amorim confessed that he was ready to win the Europa League because he tried to save her Premier League season and revealed that young players could play significant minutes while his stars stay fresh for the European run.
Amorim immediately worked on his word and asked the 20-year-old Fredricson, in addition to the returning Victor Lindelof, who will wear the captain’s weapons, to start in the heart of defense.
Fredricson appeared for the first time in 2022 under Erik Ten HAG in a senior united squad and has been mentioned three times under Amorim since then.
“It is not the best moment or the best season to make a few children to play because they need a strong basis to really show what they can do, but at that moment we have to do it,” said Amorim before the game.
“It’s a difficult moment, it’s not the right moment for the children, but if we have to do it, we’ll do it.”
Amorim’s decision to prioritize the Europa League becomes clear by the lack of Talisman midfielder Bruno Fernandes from the starting line -up. The Portugal star is sitting on the bench alongside international teammate Diogo Dalot.
United is in the 14th game in the Premier League classification and could actually be caught by the 17th wolves on points, the inferior gates of which means that they stay among the Red Devils, unless they roam them on Sunday for a emphatic victory.
