Ruben Amorim has proposed that the derby on Sunday between Manchester United and Manchester City has so far been damaged by the bad seasons of both sides.
The latest edition of the Manchester Derby ended with a lower frame of 0-0 and had only two great chances in the 90 minutes, and only a few players on the field seemed disappointed to share the points with their local competitors after the last pipe.
Sarcastically described as a testimony by Kevin de Bruyne after the announcement of the City Playmaker about his upcoming departure and never really started, and United head coach Amorim suggested that the low bets contributed to the disappointing presentation.
“Both teams don’t fight for the title – that changed the game,” he said. “You can play a fun game, but the feeling of not losing a point and winning every game at home is not here. It is difficult to say.
“We have to fight for big things. If we were fighting for big things, the feeling would be completely different. They would feel the urgency that they did not feel today because both teams have a lot of doubts.”
On the line for City, her hopes were under the top four under the end of their expectations before the season, but a real uncertainty in the face of their construction of the season. Pep Guardiola’s team remains fifth, one point behind Chelsea.
United, on the other hand, has very little to play in Germany. There is nothing but pride for a Red Devils outfit on the line that rose back to 13th place after 31 games and still has a negative goal difference (-4).
“I can see it,” Amorim considered his team’s performance. “The connections. The players feel more comfortable in the positions. We can find players between the lines and are quiet with the ball. We are better, but we have a lot to improve.
“I am not naive or crazy. I understand that there is a big gap, but as a guide I can’t say that we will take a lot of time. You have to feel urgent to hurry up, do something better. In a club like ours you don’t have much time. We are in a hurry, that’s clear.”
