Ruben Amorim will not rush into signings in the January transfer window despite losing key players at the Africa Cup of Nations.
However, the Manchester United manager refused to rule out the possibility of bringing some new faces to the club this winter.

Man United’s Bryan Mbuemo, Amad Diallo and Noussair Mazraoui departed for the Africa Cup of Nations this week.
And their departure has left Amorim without two of its key offensive opponents and one of its starting defenders.
This means the rest of the Red Devils squad will have to play in absence over the busy festive period.
However, given fears that United could lack quality in the positions of Mbeumo, Diallo and Mazraoui, some fans may want to see some transfer activity in the January window.
Amorim was asked ahead of his side’s clash with Aston Villa on Sunday whether he has money available to buy players and whether he will look in the market for new signings.
“We will only try to bring in players who we believe will be the future,” the Portuguese coach revealed in his press conference.
“This moment will not be about saving something to cope with the losses of three players for AFCON. It will not be like that.”
He added: “Even if we try to bring in a player, he might not be in the position we need at the moment.”
“We will try to bring in players now and at the end of the season who are perfect for our future.
“So I don’t know what’s going to happen, but it’s possible we can do something.”

Who could Man United sign?
Amorim did not rule out the chance for Man United to sign some players in January, although he admitted he would not rush.
And one man they could root for is Antoine Semenyo.
The Bournemouth star is the subject of interest across the Premier League with Manchester City in talks.
However, United are likely to compete with their neighbors as they are also seeking a deal to sign the Ghana international, whose contract contains a release clause of between £60m and £65m.
The Pitch Prospect understands that there is now likely to be a direct battle between the two Manchester clubs for Semenyo.
Tottenham are currently underdogs in the race, while Liverpool are unlikely to make a move and Arsenal will have to exit first.

“More than ready”
Amorim remains confident about his current Man United squad, although he may test the market for new additions.
He admitted that his team “needs to play a little differently” but that his substitutes are ready to replace the absent players.
“We’ll see, but we’ll be ready for the game.” [against Aston Villa]” the United boss told MUTV. “It’s not perfect as we don’t have all the players but we are ready.” We have players who can solve the game for us, so we are happy with that.”
Amorim continued: “Yes, [we have lost Amad and Mbeumo] and also Nous. So Nous is also very important for us, but if a player is out, we have chances for other players.
“Last year we managed to win in some games, especially in Europe, without Amad. Bryan wasn’t here, so we already have those difficult moments.”
“So we are ready, more than ready, to deal with this.”
