There is also a resale advantage of 17.5 percent for future movements.

Fulham will pay around 20 percent of the transfer fee as part of the deal that brought him from Craven Cottage to Anfield.

The news will come as a major blow to Southampton after a £15million bid for the 21-year-old was rejected earlier this week.

The offer was rejected because Liverpool did not want to lose the talented Portuguese young star.

However, her attitude now seems to have changed as a move to Brentford is now planned.

Speaking to The Pitch Prospect last month, Redmen TV’s Dan Clubbe said: “Unfortunately I think it’s a sale because I’m not sure where he plays in that Liverpool team.

“For me he is the archetypal number 10 and you have to play with a real number 10 to get the best out of him and that’s not how Liverpool play.

“Under Jürgen Klopp he had the problem that he was missing a position. He went to Leipzig, where it didn’t really work out, then he went to Hull and showed his form.

“But this Liverpool team does not operate as a team that can handle someone of his type and his caliber, so I think we will have to cash in this summer.”

For Carvalho, who came through the youth ranks of Brentford’s rivals Fulham, a move to west London should be an easy transition.

Calvalho has only played 21 games for Liverpool since joining in 2022.

His breakthrough came in the 2021/22 season, in which he scored eleven goals and provided eight assists to help Fulham gain promotion from the Championship.

Carvalho joined Liverpool for just £5 million in the summer of 2022 and made 21 appearances in his first season on Merseyside, starting just eight times and scoring three goals.

Last season, he endured a frustrating loan spell at RB Leipzig in the first half of the season before proving his skills during a highly successful loan spell at Hull.
