Sunderland is about to sign from Paris Saint-Germain defender Nordi Mukiele, as Talksport understands.
The French right -back spent the last season from borrowing from Bayer Leverkusen after not breaking the outstanding squad into Luis Enriques.

His offer to earn a regular place in Leverkusen was not fully fulfilled because he only made 15 Bundesliga appearances during the season.
He is expected to exchange his home nation of France for the newly burned Premier League outfit Sunderland after emerging a main goal for Regis Le Bris.
The club is said to have offered £ 12 million for its new defender and have taken their summer editions up to almost £ 150 million.
Mukiele, whose versatile skills means that he can be used as a right -back or central defender, would probably win an immediate place in the northeast side.
His experiences in the Champions League and in the leading division of Europe will strengthen the Sunderland Backline to prepare for their first season in England’s top plane since 2016/17.
The 27-year-old joins a long list of income that is prepared to transform the former championship side into ex-arsenal captain Granit Xhaka, Brighton star Simon Adringa and Strasbourg midfielder Habib Diarra, among which the rankings join.
It was also expected to take a step back to bring the club legend Jordan Henderson back before bringing a contract with Brentford on paper.
A step for Mukiele to Sunderland would also be a short reunion with the former Leverkusen teammate Xhaka – who has already earned the captain’s bracelet, even though he has not yet played a match for the black cats.
Mukiele’s extensive career led to gathering experience in both France and Germany, with his first big break in Montpellier.
He joined the French team in 2017 and helped them in a tenth place in his second season.

Since then he has lifted the German Cup with RB Leipzig and claimed two titles 1 with PSG.
Mukiele performed several appearances for France and has an upper limit for his name for the senior team from Les Bleus.
He is not yet played in the Premier League and it remains to be seen whether he will be seen at the start of the season, in which Sunderland will face the Stadium of Light in the West Ham on Saturday.
Thanks to a dramatic 2-1 play-off win against Sheffield United, Sunderland rose back to the leader in May.
