Alejandro Garnacho is reluctantly coming around to the idea of leaving Manchester United this month.
Sources close to the mercurial Argentine told The Pitch Prospect he has major doubts about his role in Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system.

These concerns first emerged after he was brutally wiped out in the Manchester derby in December.
As previously reported by The Pitch Prospect, Manchester United are not actively trying to sell Garnacho, but concerns over his role at Old Trafford have opened the door to a possible January exit.
Antonio Conte’s Napoli are the strongest push to get rid of Garnacho and have made at least two offers for the £70million full-back.
Chelsea have also expressed interest in the 20-year-old, who would be a net asset to United’s balance sheet as a youth product.
If he stays, Amorim would continue to use Garnacho and has no problems with his character or attitude in training.
United’s unwanted man
Manchester United are less optimistic about finding a taker for exiled Marcus Rashford.
United are keen to offload Rashford in this transfer window and are willing to accept a loan deal with no option or obligation to buy.
Several top European clubs, including Barcelona, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund, have spoken to Rashford’s agents, while West Ham and Tottenham have also asked to be kept updated on the situation.
However, the England international’s wages – over £325,000 including bonuses and image rights – are proving to be a major obstacle.
Rashford remaining at the club would potentially be problematic for Amorim, with the United manager refusing to name the former superstar in his first-team squad.

Wolves’ Cunha contract frustrated
The fact that Wolves boss Vitor Pereira publicly disparaged star player Matheus Cunha after the defeat against Chelsea on Monday may have arisen from frustration over his ongoing contract dispute.
Earlier this month, Wolves were optimistic that Cunha would put pen to paper on a new long-term contract after reaching a verbal agreement with their talisman.
However, TalkSPORT has been told that negotiations have stalled.
It is understood the Brazilian wants to include a relegation clause in the agreement.
The Wolves hierarchy have assured Cunha that if they were eliminated from the Premier League he would be sold without a clause as they could not afford to keep him.
It remains to be seen whether this promise will be enough to convince Cunha to sign on the dotted line.

Rock n’ Rohl
Don’t be surprised to see Danny Rohl in the Southampton dugout at the start of next season.
The Saints wanted to appoint their former assistant manager when they sacked Russell Martin last month, but were unwilling to pay the £5m clause in full to relieve him of his role as Sheffield Wednesday manager.
However, since then, relations between Rohl and controversial Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri have deteriorated, with the German demanding a reduction in the high release clause.
Saints signed Croatian Ivan Juric in place of Rohl, who has yet to win a Premier League game.
It is believed that there is a release clause in Juric’s contract that can be activated at the end of the season if, as seems inevitable, the south coast side fail.
Southampton sit bottom of the Premier League with six points after just one win and three draws from 22 games this season. At the time of writing, they are 11 points from safety.
