Jadon Sancho’s future is likely to remain uncertain until the transfer deadline on Friday.
Manchester United are ready to offload Sancho, who was not in the squad for the first two Premier League games of the season despite reconciling with Erik ten Hag.

But the Red Devils are currently demanding at least a loan deal with an obligation to buy.
The Pitch Prospect has learned that Juventus were the most serious suitors for the England international, but a move to Turin is far from guaranteed.
Chelsea are monitoring developments, but a move to Stamford Bridge would depend on Sancho taking a pay cut and United being willing to sign one of the Blues’ unpopular players, such as Raheem Sterling, who earns £300,000 a week.
Other possible interested parties are Bayern Munich and Sancho’s old club Borussia Dortmund.
Go nowhere
Joe Gomez could stay at Liverpool after all.
As previously reported, Gomez was considering his options after being left out of the squad for Arne Slot’s first game as manager at Ipswich on the opening weekend of the season.
Aston Villa were among the clubs targeting Gomez, but manager Slot is keen to keep hold of the versatile England international after naming him to the bench in Sunday’s 2-0 win over Brentford, the Dutchman’s hard-fought debut at Anfield.
With Liverpool focusing on a potential cut-price deal for Juventus striker Federico Chiesa rather than signing a defender in the final days of the transfer window, it seems unlikely that the Reds would sanction Gomez’s exit after selling Sepp van den Berg to Brentford for £25 million.
If he stays, Gomez will likely reassess his position in January depending on how much playing time he gets by then.

Hammer blow
West Ham are open to offers for James Ward-Prowse, just over a year after paying £30 million for his transfer from Southampton.
Ward-Prowse played just 16 minutes as a substitute in the Hammers’ 2-1 home defeat to Aston Villa on Matchday 1 and did not play in the Hammers’ 2-0 win in the London derby against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The 11-cap England international would slip further down the pecking order if West Ham can reach an agreement with PSG midfielder Carlos Soler.

The Pitch Prospect has learned that Ward-Prowse’s agents have been actively contacting other Premier League clubs to try to generate interest in the 29-year-old.
Ward-Prowse had spent his entire career with the Saints before leaving when they were relegated to the Championship.
Chamber of Secrets
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is willing to take a pay cut to return to the Premier League from Besiktas.
Things are not going well for former England and Liverpool midfielder Oxlade-Chamberlain: he has been informed that he will not be among the twelve foreign players that Besiktas will be allowed to call up in its squad this season.
The 31-year-old has been offered a contract by several English clubs, including Brentford and Crystal Palace.
The “Ox” has only played 20 league games since his free transfer to Besiktas in the summer of 2023.
