The Pitch Prospect understands the Reds are confident he will sign a new contract, extending his stay at his boyhood club.

In a picture posted on social media, the England international can be seen signing a Real Madrid shirt belonging to a young fan in the United States.

Alexander-Arnold was also seen with Madrid star and Three Lions teammate Jude Bellingham on a rollercoaster at Six Flags theme park in California.

The duo have become close friends during their time together in the English training camp, especially during the 2024 European Championships.

When Bellingham scored the winning goal against Serbia in the group stage, he and Alexander-Arnold shared the Real Madrid star’s trademark celebration.

It is clear that there is a strong bond between them, although it remains to be seen whether they will share the pitch together at the Bernabeu.

New Liverpool head coach Arne Slot was recently asked how confident he was that a new contract could be agreed for Alexander-Arnold.

“My answer will probably be a little boring,” he replied. “I think it’s the same answer you’ve heard for the last five, six or seven years.”

“This contract situation is not up for discussion here, but just keep trying, I would say!”
