Wayne Rooney has signed a brand new striker for Plymouth Argyle.
Argyle have won two of their first eight Championship games, beating Sunderland in an EFL classic and then Premier League relegated Luton Town.

Their last game ended in defeat as Rooney’s side failed to find the net in the 1-0 defeat to Burnley at Turf Moor.
Devonshire’s away team also suffered a setback in recent weeks when 24-year-old Nigerian striker Muhamed Tijani sustained an injury in training before Argyle’s last away game.
Tijani is on a season-long loan from Czech club Slavia Prague and had originally returned to the first team after suffering groin and thigh injuries.
But now the striker, who has only played three times this season, is expected to be out until the turn of the year.
Up the stairs, Andre Gray, the man signed to replace him.
Gray was a free agent after a troubled spell at his last club, Saudi Pro League club Al-Riyadh.
The Jamaican international has played over 100 Premier League games, scoring 23 goals and providing seven assists.
Argyle have signed the former Watford and Burnley striker – although he will not be available for Saturday’s home game against Blackburn Rovers.
Gray, 33, will wear number 19 for Rooney’s side and hopes Plymouth can offer a nicer environment for his wife Leigh-Anne Pinnock.
The couple had a long-distance marriage during Gray’s time in Saudi Arabia as the Little Mix star focused on her solo career.

Gray’s career began at Shrewsbury Town before his career took off during a loan move to Luton Town in the 2011–12 season, when he scored five goals in nine games.
After securing a permanent move to the Hatters, Gray scored 57 goals in 111 games in the National League before moving to Championship side Brentford.
Gray excelled in his first season at Brentford with 18 goals, which earned him a move to Burnley.
His 23 goals helped the Clarets gain promotion to the Premier League in the 2015/16 season.
Gray then signed for Watford, where he became a Premier League regular for the following three seasons.
He made 83 appearances, mostly as a substitute, but only scored 14 goals for the club for which he made the most appearances.
Gray moved to Cypriot club Aris for the 2022/23 season and played in the UEFA Europa Conference League before moving to Saudi Arabia.
Argyle host Blackburn at 3pm on Saturday but the game came too early for Gray, who did not receive international clearance in time.
The experienced frontman could instead make his Argyle debut in the next away game in Cardiff.
