Bayer Leverkusen would like to make a decision about Xabi Alonso from Xabi Alonso sooner than later. The managing director Fernando Carro explains that the club is not ready to wait as this will affect your preparations for the next season.
Alonso is the glowing favorite that becomes Real Madrid’s new manager. Carlo Ancelotti made his role almost safe after he had convincingly unloaded his team from the Champions League at the Arsenal quarter -finals.
Real Madrid is also in danger of giving up your La Liga crown on the bitter rival Barcelona, which you will meet in a delicious Copa del Rey final at the end of April.
Ancelotti’s departure was not officially announced, but the mere volume of speculation and reports that point out that he will go would make his future in the Spanish capital unsustainable. “A coaching decision has many other components that are affected,” said Carro.
“We are already preparing the pre -season with Xabi Alonso, we are preparing the squad with him. If Xabi Alonso will become so clear with him in the next few weeks in the next few weeks, we have to make it clear to him.
“We will not wait until the end of the season, we have to decide in advance, as this will have other consequences for planning and preparing the team.”
The athlete reported that Leverkusen is expecting a decision within three or four weeks – a decision will be made – at the latest in mid -May. Carro has also announced that there is a “Gentleman’s agreement” with Alonso, whereby Leverkusen “will not get any obstacles in the way”, one of his former clubs – Real Madrid, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Real Sociedad – pursue an approach.
Last season, the 43-year-old told Leverkusen during the international break in March that he would stay in the middle of Liverpool for another season in another season.
Alonso has not yet been without obligation in his future and explained in his press conferences that his focus remains on Leverkusen’s remaining games and that the conversation about what is next is for summer.
He is not the only prominent name associated with the job Real Madrid. The ex-Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp, who terminated the Premier League Club at the end of 2023/24, citing burnout, was advertised just a few months after the start of a global role of the Red Bull Group for a return to management.
According to reports, Klopp is already missing daily management, although his agent has rejected these rumors as a guess.
