It has been recognizable for some time that Arsenal’s blatant weakness is their clear lack of an Orthodox striker, but several windows have passed without the Gunners fixing the problem.
A desperate attempt to sign Ollie Watkins during the January window proved to be an arsenal willingness to strengthen number nine, with Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus having their only options. Both are anything but clinical and currently injured, so that Mischmmero temporarily leads the center of the line.
It seems inevitable that Mikel Areta is finally granted to the shiny new striker, for whom he has long been longing for a long time during the coming summer window. The Premier League has now officially announced the opening and closure data for the transfer market.
The three names, which were most consistent with the filling of the cavity in the Emirates Stadium, all fit a similar profile. The highly towering and mighty trio by Alexander Isak, Viktor Gyokoker and Benjamin Sesko seem to be Arsenal’s preferred candidates.
But which of the strikers should Arsenal pursue this summer?
Arsenal was burned first hand by the brilliance of Isak. The Newcastle United Sharpshooter has achieved in two of the three meetings between the clubs this season, although the Gunners not curb the Sweden national players.
Isak is a generation talent. So is its quality, he has previously made high comparisons with Thierry Henry, and they certainly have similar attributes. A slim, but impressive frame, lightning speed, the willingness to send defenders to defenders behind defenders, and an amazing consistency when aimed at the opposition goal. They are the definition of the nightmare of a central defender.
Isak is brought to trial in the Premier League and offers him an advantage over his position colleagues and other arsenal targets. In his rather tame debut season ten ten of 21 in the English top flight last season, with Isak only matching two strikes from the match this year. The quality and regularity of his finishing make him an unstoppable threat in the full flow.
He has William Saliba and Virgil van Dijk – the two best central defenders of the Premier League – in the recent duels and has the ability to improve further because he is only 25 years old. This is a scary view and the reason why he will master a nine -digit sum this summer.
Brighton & Hove Albion do only a few missteps on the transfer market, but it was a blatant mistake that Gyoker was only able to leave 1 million GBP in 2021. The Swedish international, who shared minutes with Isak for the national team, has been in Coventry City since then and now with CP, in which he has developed into another animal overall.
In all competitions with the Lisbon Giants, he achieved 43 times in the last season and helped them to the Liga Portugal title. This season he was even more devastating – so far in just 41 excursions – even with the departure of Mentor Ruben Amorim. Finding the network is not a problem for Gyokeres who is already used to the rough and tumble of English football.
Arsenal is clearly aimed at a sporty and strong striker this summer, and Gyokoker would be an ideal fit. The 26-year-old has an immense upper body force and can act as an intermediary for the people around him, but has the scorching pace to take advantage of high lines and poor defense positioning. He is also a useful channel runner with the frame to keep the ownership of your back.
Gyokoker will be different, which costs a very essential sum, and with his contract by 2028, sport will not be in no hurry to sell its valuable fortune. But sometimes you have to spray the money to maximize your potential, and it would not be money for arsenal.
Sesko is certainly the least attractive of the three forward options. The RB Leipzig striker is immensely talented and has the age on his side at the age of 21, but he lacks the WoW factor that Isak and Gyoker currently have. This will probably be in time, but patience may be necessary if Arsenal would acquire the Slovenian dynamo from RB Leipzig.
Sesko rose through the Red Bull Talent Factory and was searched for a campaign with 18 goals by Arsenal before the euro in 2024 last summer. He is intended to improve this term, but his numbers are almost quite safe compared to Isak and Gyokoker.
The 6’5 starlet certainly has the potential to dominate European football for the next decade and will probably be the most affordable of the three strikers. It may also be worth gambling at speed -shaking speed and a ractified right trunk.
Arsenal would not make a mistake by signing Gyokerer or Sesko – far away – but Isak remains the leading option.
The genius of the Newcastle striker has something immaterial, a unique ability that is not immediately obvious to the mere eye, and Isak has repeatedly proven its registration information in the last two seasons. He has the Premier League experience, plenty of space and time to improve, and all physical, mental and technical properties that are necessary to thrive under a harder ramp light in the North London.
The only factor that prevents Arsenal from starting the persecution of the Newcastle Star is the mammoth price that is needed to praise it from Tyneside. Figures of 150 million GBP have been surrounded, but it is difficult to argue that Isak is worthy of such an enormous fee.
