Manu has played 28 games across all competitions so far this season, scoring four goals and providing two assists.

His performances helped the team to an undefeated season in the Europa Conference League.

With four wins and two draws from six games, Vitoria finished second behind Chelsea and moved straight into the round of 16.

Manu scored a goal and as many assists in these games, helping the club achieve its best European season since 1987 before the knockout stages.

Since joining Vitoria from Feirense in 2023, Manu has featured in over 50 games.

The midfielder would be new coach Vitor Pereira’s second signing at Molineux this month.

He could also be seen as a direct replacement for former captain Mario Lemina, who asked to leave the club this month.

Lemina was left out of the club’s squad, which lost 3-0 to Newcastle last time out, after he asked.

Boss Pereira said of the Al-Shabab target: “I can’t bring a player who comes to me and says he’s not mentally fit to help the team, ‘I want to leave’.”

“I don’t know what happened before me, but with that energy and mentality, I don’t need him. I would rather play against another player.

Wolves have already signed Ivorian defender Emmanuel Agbadou from Reims in the current window.

The centre-back signed a four-and-a-half year deal with the club following his £16.6m move.

Agbadou made his FA Cup debut against Bristol City last weekend before facing Newcastle on Wednesday.

Pereira’s side currently sit 17th in the Premier League table – only outside the relegation zone thanks to goals scored ahead of Ipswich.

However, the Tractor Boys could overtake their relegation rivals on Sunday against Manchester City.

As for Wolves, they are not in action until Monday evening’s game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
