Your guide to watching the Women’s FA Cup this weekend


The fifth round of the Adobe Women’s Fa Cup will take place this weekend, as eight teams are fighting for space in the quarter -finals of the popular competition for space.

The fourth round of the KO competition brought the fireworks with 78 goals in the 16 games. In just eight competitors, the games will certainly become even more action -packed.

2024 Champions Manchester United remain in the race for the title, and 14-time winner Arsenal are also ready to face the challenge.

Manchester United

Manchester United took the crown home in 2024, after a 4-0 thrasis from Tottenham Hotspur was sufficient to win it victoriously under the arch of the Wembley Stadium. The victory was the first cutlery from United since the club began in 2018.

Arsenal have long been the historical giants of the FA Cup and won the competition a total of 14 times. Despite the club’s national dominance, the last time the Gunners brought in the cutlery was nine years ago in the 2015/16 season when they defeated Chelsea 1-0.

Chelsea and Manchester City shared the domestic fame since Arsenal’s dominance began to disappear. City has taken the gold home since then in three seasons, with Chelsea winning it four times.

The first games of the upcoming round will take place on Saturday, February 8th, whereby Aston Villa against Brighton & Hove Albion should start the campaign at noon. Manchester United will take place later on this day in the third stage of Wolves. The other six games will take place on Sunday, February 9th.

The fifth round will organize some exciting games when 16 teams come to a place in the quarter -finals.

Wolves will try to stage an almighty “cupset” while organizing the masters last season at AFC Telford United. The Portsmouth and Sunderland championship pages will fight it on the south coast, while Arsenal London City Lionesses organizes in a London derby in Meadow Park.

Rugby Borough from FA Women’s National League will look for Liverpool in Liverpool, while four WSL teams will compete as moderator of Aston Villa, moderator Brighton and Man City, Leicester City.

The WSL fighters Crystal Palace Moderator Newcastle United, before Chelsea rounds off the weekend against Everton with a meeting on Sunday afternoon.

The FA has confirmed that all eight games of the fifth round are streamed live to observe the competition via the FAS player and the new YouTube channel.

The BBC has confirmed its selection for the round, with Rugby Borough against Liverpool on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. GMT.
